DK Classic Cars - Visit to Langeskov

DK Classic Cars - Langeskov (159).jpg

Last week, for the first time in what feels like ages I had a chance to go for a short automotive trip to Langeskov - a small town on the Danish island Fyn. Apart from being home to circa 4’000 citizens it is also the headquarters of DK Classic Cars dealership. Whilst my visit was connected with inspecting and test driving a car, I squeezed in some time to capture quite impressive collection of vintage automobiles exhibited in a nice showroom.

The variety of the collection and the class of some exhibits is impressive. Cars are ranging from MGB Coupe for 15’000 Euros to Jaguar XK120 easily hitting ten times the price, with the in-between range being not any less interesting. DK Classic Cars are definitely specialists in Volvo P1800 - there were six on display, including coupes, sport estate as well as the more exclusive Jensen editions. Volvos aside, the British classics took over, with aforementioned silver XK120, followed by a red XK150S and a Mark II 2.4. There was a couple of MGs, Lotus Esprit S2, two Triumphs TR6 and a cute Austin Healey Sprite.

As with all dealerships these days there were heaps of German vehicles, too. Porsche 911 of various models (including Carrera RS replicas and a jaw-dropping 1968 Sky Blue 911T welcoming all visitors) made a nice line of six in a row, with an interwoven 924 Cabrio. There were a few Mercedes on display, most impressive being the W187 220 from 1952 as well as a couple of BMW 2002, with my favourite being the orange Tii version. Last but not least there was a Maserati Merak and a Ferrari 348 Spider to check the Italian box as well as a a French goddess - a Citroën DS23 Berline Carb Pallas, unfortunately already sold.

Thank you DK Classic Cars for showing me around and to Jesper for your hospitality. I will definitely come back!
