Stacja Klasyki - Hotspot on the Automotive Map
A NEW HOTSPOT ON THE AUTOMOTIVE MAP
Stacja Klasyki (eng. Classic Station) is a brand new and rising in popularity place on Warsaw’s automotive map. Being located in Lomianki - just outside of Warsaw in the suburbs, it approaches classic motorization, its enthusiasts and in particular the owners in an innovative in Poland way. The project is led by Michal Wrobel, responsible before for Ardor Auctions, it builds upon well-known western concept – such as the famous Classic Remise in Berlin. Michał and I spoke briefly and agreed to take two 560SL for a photoshoot – what better way to see a place like this?
COSY INTERIOR WITH STYLISH GADGETS
Stacja Klasyki resides in a newly restored industrial building, which facilitated a glass brick factory before. In the block one can find a café, exhibition space with cars set for sale and the private club space. All is well-designed and tasteful, with the industrial look not being forgotten on the outside – the façade is Corten steel. Matching accents are also in the bar zone as well as on the info stands in front of the classics. Walls are covered in car manufacturer’s flags, posters and vintage emblems. Amongst those you can find some that are quite rare – such as the Porsche Generations triptych. The interior is coherent and cosy.
It is worth noting Stacja Klasyki is already selling few of their exhibits. Amongst others for sale, there is BMW M6 E26 also known as “The Shark”, two amazing Porsche 911, one 912 and previously mentioned Mercedes 560SL. The choice is great and more cars are on their way!
Behind the exhibition part of the building there is a specially prepared, three-storey garage space with a car elevator. It is more than 1500 square metres rental area waiting for classic cars to arrive. Clients will be given few different packages to choose from – starting at a classic parking spot rental, all the way to air-conditioned capsules and full-care service package. Additionally, two car lifts are to be mounted in the exhibition space to allow diagnostics or pre-sale inspection.
ALREADY EXCITED? OPENING COMES SOON!
Stacja Klasyki has set the opening day on Sunday, 9th of September this year. It doubtlessly is a wonderful place which was missing in Poland. It is also a milestone for Polish classic motorization, which slowly but surely starts to catch up with its more mature western counterparts. If you have a chance pay them a visit – you will not regret!
Huge thanks to Michal for the white-red 560SL photoshoot and showing me around this amazing place!
